Let Those Who Have Eyes, See

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

A couple interesting details...

The word used for “field” here doesn’t suggest a wheat field or corn field but rather a pasture. A pasture is wide open and it is very hard to hide anything in a pasture.

In other words, The Kingdom of God is hidden out in the open. (Let those who have eyes, see)

Something to think about…

Why does the man have to buy the field in order to possess the treasure? What does the field represent? Where is the Kingdom of God?
