Parable: The Worthless/Valuable Pearl

There once was a very wealthy young man who had a hobby of collecting pearls. Over the years he had collected many rare, beautiful pearls which he had on display in the mansion he called home. On one of his outings he came across this very valuable, rare pearl which he immediate fell in love with. He returned home, collected all of his belongings and sold all of his possessions so that he could return and buy the pearl he loved so much.

Not long after he bought the pearl he was over come by hunger and thirst and died - all the while clenching the valuable pearl he had bought.

(Matt 13:45-46)
